With spring still a month away, many of you are in the grips of a long, snowy winter and down here in the South, we are in the middle of an ice storm. Let's face it...we still have some dreary days head of us.
Sooo…I have decided to take things into my own hands and begin to think
spring-y thoughts! I am sharing some ways that you can begin to sprinkle in a few little hints of one of my favorite seasons…even if it's just inside your home!
#1. Add Spring to a Centerpiece No, our daffodils aren’t blooming yet, but the
faux variety is! I love how realistic these are and the way they add a touch of sunny yellow to my
spring centerpiece, too! You can see more
here.
#2. Make a Spring Banner Little birds just say
spring to me and my
chalkboard birds on a string bring a little touch of it into my home! And best of all…it was almost free!
#3. Create a Spring Wreath What a fun way to signal that spring is on the way...at least inside your home or on your front door! And with this collection of
25+ spring wreaths, there are so many ways to choose from! See them all
here.
#4. Sew a Spring Pillow Hippity hoppity! Bunnies are not just a sign that
Easter's on its way…they help bring in spring, too! And I even think this little guy could even stay out all year! I added a little touch of
frenchiness, too, and created my
Ballard inspired vintage French bunny pillow. The free graphic is included in the tutorial.
#5. Create a Spring Vignette Why not pull together some of your favorite
spring-y items and create a little vignette? Some fun little French flashcards and a sweet faux chalkware lamb add up to create my
vintage French spring vignette.
#6. Add Some Spring to Your Mantel Your mantel is a great place to showcase a touch of spring! Sunny blue and yellow always remind me of warmer days in Provence. Just add daffodils and you have my
mantel for spring! Get a closer look
here.
#7. Bring Spring to Your Table There’s nothing prettier than a table all set for spring! Tulips are a sure sign that spring is not far away so I mixed them with my favorite pieces to create a
springy blue and white tablescape!
#8. Bring in Real Spring FlowersI am so excited because flowering spring bulbs and fresh flowers are starting to show up in the stores! You don’t need a fancy vase to display them, either. For example, my
Pottery Barn inspired burlap-wrapped vases do the trick without costing a lot of money!
#9. Play with Flower PotsFlower pots aren’t just for planting…they can be used to create spring décor! My
easy flower pot wreath brings a touch of spring right to your front door!

Or…can’t wait to start digging and planting in the garden? Why not get an early start and pot some spring bulbs! Add a little chalkboard label for even more fun! And my
chalkboard flower pots make great gifts, too!
#10. Add Spring to Your PorchAnd a final way to bring on spring…add it to your porch! You may want to save this one for last if you live in a snowy area so that your neighbors don’t think you have lost your mind! ;-) However, for me, bunnies and daffodils (Are you noticing that I love daffodils?) will soon be welcoming my guests on
my spring front porch.

As for the staff, our Miss Kitty says that a sure sign of spring for her is the arrival of the pot of fresh catnip on the patio…and she can’t wait!
What about you? How do you bring on an early touch of spring? Remember to pin it!
