CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas TablescapeI am continuing my classic Christmas theme this year in the dining room with my pewter and plaid tablescape…two of my favorite elements that just say it’s holiday time to me! I have to admit that I love red and green for Christmas…and add some rustic touches of texture and the patina of old pewter and I am in!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape Put them all together and here’s my Christmas tablscape this year…simple, rustic and classic!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas TablescapeI started with a tartan tablecloth layered with my ruffled burlap table runner. Then I added a garland down the center and popped in my favorite pewter candlesticks and a few red ornaments.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape In the center is my stag head compote…a thrifting find from several years ago which echoes the stag candle holders on my tartan and magnolia Christmas mantel.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape I filled it with faux moss rocks that I found at Dollar Tree a few years ago, as well as mercury glass acorns and small red glitter ornaments.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape At each place is a wicker charger to echo the colors of the burlap and add some texture. It is topped by my favorite go-to chunky plates…Felice by Chris Madden.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape I have used my wedding flatware in pewter and the matching goblets…Octette from Gorham. I like to mix in inexpensive finds as well so I have added the wine glasses that I found at Goodwill several years ago.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas TablescapeBut my favorite element this year is the Christmas tree napkin fold…so fun and easy to do…that adds such a special festive touch! You will find the video that explains just how to do it here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape I debated about changing the blue and white transferware on the hutch for my white Wedgwood but I discovered that I really like the way it looks with the tartan tablecloth…

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape …so I simply mixed in a few bits of red and plaid to give it a more festive look.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas Tablescape I added some red candles in the rooster sconces and a wreath sporting lots of red berries and the look was complete.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pewter and Plaid Christmas TablescapeAnd here it is…my pewter and plaid Christmas tablescape! I am loving its no-fuss rustic classic Christmas style!
