And then, my little wheels started turning.<br /><b>Here is what you will need:</b><br /><ul><li>Raffia-covered wire, preferably in brown (I found mine at Michaels)</li><li>Approximately 30 whole star anise (Not familiar with <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illicium_verum" target="_blank">star anise?</a></i>  Although not related, it has a scent similar to<i> </i>anise, fennel and licorice.)  </li><li>Hot glue gun</li><li>Fabric hearts and ribbon (or other embellishments you choose)</li><li>Jute twine</li></ul><b>And here’s what you will do:</b><br /><ol><li>Shape the raffia-covered wire into an 8 inch circle, twisting the ends together.</li><li>Hot glue the star anise to the wire, one at a time. It was only 13 euros for 10 bars…<b>$1.50</b> each…but soap is heavy and I had limited space in my suitcase. <i>Sooo</i>…I walked away. I am still kicking myself because I could have mailed it! (I used one pound for my first try. It made 3 rectangular bars and 3 heart-shaped soaps.)</li><li>Follow the directions on the soap to melt it in the microwave. Be sure not to overheat it!</li><li>When it is completely melted, just stir in as many of the lavender buds as you wish and add coloring if you like. I followed the directions on the package as to the amount when I added the lavender essential oil.</li><li>Pour it directly into the molds and let cool and harden. <i>The tin tartlet pans first need a very light coating of non-stick spray.</i></li><li>Once they have hardened, simply pull the molds back around the edges to release the soap.
