But since it’s almost New Year’s Eve I decided to share my tablescape which definitely has a French accent! It's rustic and simple and stars lots of texture with a generous helping of frenchiness!<br /><br /><a name="more"></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjye9Dj9OfpKSsSBTZI6T7Q4j4EZym3Y0zVlUWSYXGbaP20dAUrMVbxscjkzDlQ-A3m1yp-gBcVKQLEOQsw4jiW6FcWEFjY62zAdmzHqePgWjEVadLNy3IuEOdUlqW_4LHRu9eBOgJFPNJb/s1600-h/CONFESSIONS%252520OF%252520A%252520PLATE%252520ADDICT%252520%252520A%252520Country%252520French%252520New%252520Year11%25255B19%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT A Country French New Year" border="0" height="484" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW8i0MZndqYFH1Z22DmDV9YA2UuAOUdloz6i_yf09PZATmChTs08zNdkPQ8BN5_y0-2iPTeskvTfX87Z7b6JctERg1v0yiuXceIHWPWK-RJWK-0O3W3FohCFnIZ5npHaQ2Ok7StX3U3gyy/?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT A Country French New Year" width="644" /></a> <i>And here it is!</i> I started with a nubby painter’s drop cloth as a tablecloth and layered on my <i><a href="http://confessionsofaplateaddict.blogspot.com/2010/11/ruffled-burlap-table-runner-tutorial.html" target="_blank">ruffled burlap table runner</a></i>. <br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjicYQouAGw111zHkQTr9N9TLdAR_J7xGUTVnT6A59ys1UTu44NBwwwL5tVZXv9ngvy47JYWGMG53Mhi2zs1gLwaip1VxZakuKzNOnluhJ244MGCUPiTVwjgMPcRpl6Pl1SlEU1Ug-bohQl/s1600-h/CONFESSIONS%252520OF%252520A%252520PLATE%252520ADDICT%252520%252520A%252520Country%252520French%252520New%252520Year4%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT A Country French New Year" border="0" height="484" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirsrlWHSUf8RcTDI0L7cIhy-llQT9HNhFkhzJb6Ktl92c5ZZqAd6qWjK-gfB88-6hRE6LsV8HfEcmlrV1URO9XmAug8XDPGSOF1iLyPzZbKfgW19vAtNBHF_078EQoI-fbJbcfmeZkeX4p/?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT A Country French New Year" width="644" /></a> In the center is my favorite French galvanized container, a gift from a sweet friend, filled with lots of fresh greenery from the yard and a trio of cream candles. It’s very simple…just a paper towel tube cut into 4 inch sections and covered with a French script paper guest towel that I found at <i>Jo-Ann’s </i>several years ago.
