Creating Vintage Farmhouse Style

I have a confession…I have several imaginary homes that I decorate in different styles! I have an imaginary cabin in the mountains, a cottage at the beach, a country home in Provence and an old farmhouse! Please tell me that you do that, too! lol This week I had a lot of fun at The Scoop finding ways to decorate my farmhouse, so I thought I would share them with you!  

I love all of the fabulous vintage pieces in Beaux R’eves’ Farmhouse Dish Cupboard!

Mimi’s Vintage Charm shared her Antoinette Dining Room Chairs and her wonderful farmhouse table!

I know I will be searching the thrift stores for a candidate to make my own Vintage Child’s Chair to re-do like Anderson & Grant!

And another lovely share from Beaux R’eves…her  Summery Guest Room! Hmm…I’m afraid that I would never leave!

Now I am on the hunt for a “savour”…a Greek basil tree like Simply Suzanne’s found in her local nursery! It’s so pretty and she says it smells heavenly…and you can cook with it, too!

How’s this for repurposing? One More Time Events created a Rustic Vintage Window Coffee Table with found objects! Love it!

CD’s Country Living gave new life to a wonderful old family piece with lots of memories attached with her Antique Washstand Dresser!

And of course, my imaginary farmhouse must have a private garden and I love the one shared by Rattlebridge Farm!

And this Headboard Bench from Penny’s Vintage Home would add the perfect finishing touch to my garden…made from two headboards and a footboard!

Our CEO Miss Ozzie reminds me to show you that you don’t have to spend a fortune to create that farmhouse look!

With some bargain shopping and thrift store finds, you can create farmhouse style on a budget! I show you how I did it here.

And you can get that vintage farmhouse look in a few unexpected places, too! I found it at Walmart…

…and at a tractor supply store! I am always on the hunt for inexpensive ways to create that look! I have a nice little collection, too…just in case my dream farmhouse ever becomes a reality!
